Aretha Franklin is truly one of a kind. She can take a song that was not necessarily written for her and put her stamp on it making it an "original" Aretha performance. This was the case with "Oh Me, Oh My (I'm A Fool for You Baby) released in early 1972. This 1971 performance was absolutely stunning!

Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong for The Undisputed Truth in 1971, which was nice, but when the Temptations got a hold of it, it was spectacular!!! "Papa Was A Rolling Stone went number one and earned the Tempts (Dennis Edwards, Richard Street, Melvin Franklin, Damon Harris and Otis Williams) three Grammy Awards! It is now an early 70's classic.
